  1. Please can you come to Over and Swavesey because I really want to go on it but I cant walk to Willingham because it is not safe and I thought your job was to get people of the streets.

    1. Hi Anna
Thanks for getting in touch. We are a charity that concentrates on working in villages where there are no other youth facilities/clubs. We have to do this because it costs a lot to run our youth bus sessions and so have to make the best use of them. The villages you name have all got youth clubs already:
Over – Thursdays 7-9pm at the Community Centre
Swavesey – Tuesday afternoons (home work club/cafe) 3:15 to 4:45pm and Fridays 6:30-9:00pm both at the Bethel Baptist Church
Willingham – we had our last session there this week, youth club now on Wednesdays 6:30-8:00pm at the Baptist Church

      Hope that helps.

    1. Hi – sorry that you have not had a letter explaining the situation. In September last year we wrote to all the Parish Councils that pay for our services explaining that in order for the service to continue we would have to raise our fees considerably from April 2013. This is due to a massive drop in the funding/giving that we receive as a charity. Unfortunately a number of the villages we regularly visit decided that this new fee was too much and so ask us to finish our visits before the new higher fee was introduced.

Bar Hill is one of these villages, and the Parish Council have informed us that they are planning to use the money they would have paid The Connections Bus Project, to improve the local play equipment and skate park in Bar Hill.

      I hope that helps explain.

  2. this is really starting to get ridiculous one hour we get the message youth bus is on the next some silly excuse

    1. I’m very sorry but it was no silly excuse. The youthbus was at the earlier session in Comberton but the engine would not start at the end of the session. The driver was then stuck with the bus for over and hour waiting for recovery.

    1. Hi Chloe
Sorry didn’t pick this message up in time. Also I’m afraid we don’t give details out of who is working when.

      Alan

    1. Hi Ann
Thank you for getting in touch. We do not currently visit Manea and our nearest session is in Sutton on Tuesdays 7-9pm.
We will have some gaps available in our timetable from April which if the village is interested in could be hired. Please let me know if this might be helpful.
      Regards
      Alan
